MAL/MSD/F/002 – INVITATION TO TENDER FOR FINISHING WORKS OF 102 APARTMENTS AND 22 GARAGES AT TRIQ IL-WIED TA’ L-IMSIDA & TRIQ GARCIN, MSIDA, MALTA

The subject of this open tender is for the finishing works of a new affordable housing unit located at a previously undeveloped site at Triq il-Wied ta’ l-Imsida & Triq Garcin, Msida . The proposed scheme includes the construction of five levels a ground floor (comprising of a mixed use between garages and residential units), First floor, second floor, third floor, and fourth floor comprise of residential units. Roof space overlies the latter.
The scheme is located outside the Urban Conservation Area but within the Limits of Development as denoted on the North Harbour Local Plan document. Planning permission for the construction of this new development has been approved in PA/02369/17.

 

Clarification 1

Q.  With reference to the Item no. 7.03.01 listed in the Bill 7 Miscellaneous BOQ, Kindly provide us the dimension required and also the reference image for us to able to quote.

A.  For dimensions and sketch elevation of gate please refer to drawing in tender 1660_INTR_R02-A_07B.00. Height to be approximately 2.1 m.  Design of gate to be supplied by tenderer and Gate to be approved by AIC

Q. With reference to the Bill no. 4 Aluminum works, kindly confirm the quantities mentioned in the BOQ for the doors and windows as these are requested in m2 and in decimal points

A. Quantities are as per tender BOQ ( ie per sm). Furthermore the building has already been constructed and thus any queries re quantities can be verified and confirmed on site.

Q. Kindly confirm if all the Aluminium works has to be thermal break?

A. Yes – as outlined in specifications

Ground Floor

Q. If S/Steel push/pull handle is on both sides of the door or just one

A. Both sides

Q. If Security 5 pin lock is surface mounted

A. Yes if applicable

Q. Does the security lock require an electric striker, required if connected to an Intercom System

A. Any External main doors and external Aluminum doors with access to common parts with an electric striker.  Apartment main  timber doors leading to common area, no striker required.

First, Second, Third & Forth Floors

Q. Do the Apartment Main doors require a security lock or just a Euro cylinder lock

A. Euro cylinder lock

Q. Items 5.02.02 + 5.03.02 + 5.04.02 + 5.05.02 are showing all ironmongery as the Apartment Main doors, is this correct or do they just need a Mechanical lock & lever handle as the others

A. Mechanical lock & lever handle

Q. Are all doors stoppers in Rubber or S/Steel with rubber

A. Rubber

Q. Are 3 keys required for each lock

A. yes as per BOQ

Clarification 4

Q. Provide us the picture of the desired external floor tile type f-04.

A. A shade slightly darker than F01. Colour to be approved by AIC

Q. Provide us  information about the bathroom tiles (colours / photos) as we only found the sizes which are listed in the BOQ

A. Light or dark shades as specified in BOQ – to be approved by AIC
